Software Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Lisbon, Portugal. The role starts fully remote and will move to a hybrid setup requiring two days per week on site once the Lisbon office opens.

Salary: €40,000–€55,000 per year

What you will do

• Build robust and scalable credit card and payment products using C# and .NET.
• Own the software development lifecycle from the first line of code through production monitoring and continuous improvement.
• Create responsive user interfaces with React and modern JavaScript frameworks.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, QA specialists, and Software Engineers to align technical solutions with business goals.
• Develop unit and integration tests, troubleshoot bugs, and improve software quality.

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience with C#, .NET Core, and SQL Server.
• Experience with unit and integration testing and a good understanding of database technologies.
• Ideally, experience with JavaScript and React.
• Experience with Agile development practices.
• Proactive, supportive, collaborative approach and willingness to learn new technologies.
