Technical Coach (Digital Apprenticeships)

Location: London, England, United Kingdom; hybrid working with four days per week from the London office. The role includes travel to employer or placement sites when required. Two weeks per year may be worked from anywhere as a benefit.

hirify.global Academy is launching and expanding apprenticeship programmes across digital and technology standards.

What you will do

• Manage a caseload of apprentices across digital and technology apprenticeship standards.
• Deliver technical coaching sessions, workshops, training, assessments, and progress reviews.
• Track learner progress, set development targets, mark work, and maintain accurate learner records.
• Support learners in applying technical knowledge within their workplaces and progressing through their apprenticeships.
• Develop curriculum content, maintain industry links, and support employer engagement.
• Ensure delivery meets DfE funding rules, apprenticeship standards, safeguarding, Prevent, Ofsted, and internal quality requirements.

Requirements

• A Level 5 qualification or equivalent industry experience in a relevant digital or technology discipline.
• Level 2 English and Maths or equivalent.
• Experience coaching, training, or assessing apprentices or learners in a digital or technology subject.
• Experience delivering teaching, learning, or assessment within an apprenticeship programme and managing learner caseloads.
• Current technical knowledge relevant to the delivered apprenticeship standards, with strong communication and digital platform skills.
• Right to work in the UK, willingness to undergo an Enhanced DBS check, and ability to travel to employer or placement sites when required.

Nice to have

• Teaching, assessor, industry, or vendor certifications, including DET, Cert Ed, PGCE, QTLS, TAQA, CAVA, AWS, Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, Scrum, or Agile.
• Hands-on technical experience as a developer, technician, engineer, or IT professional.
• Experience working with employers, additional learning needs, English and Maths embedding, or learner management and e-portfolio systems.
• Knowledge of AI implementation across organisations.
• Full UK driving licence and access to personal transport.
