Software Test Engineer (Ground Systems)

What you will do

• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and DevOps workflows for testing, automation, and software delivery.
• Develop test plans and test cases, and automate tests where feasible.
• Extend, debug, and improve SIL/HIL test setups and custom test rigs.
• Support integration, verification, validation, and qualification of firmware and software components.
• Perform regression testing, document results, identify failure patterns, and improve testing processes.
• Collaborate with PLC and software engineers to investigate field issues and integrate findings into the testing pipeline.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of software testing experience in RTOS environments.
• Fluent English and strong communication skills.
• Experience with TwinCAT and Python for test automation.
• Understanding of testing methodologies for real-time and automation systems.
• Hands-on experience with test rigs, hardware interfaces, measurement tools, data logging, tolerance measurement, and real-world variability.
• Organized, proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently.

Nice to have

• Experience designing or extending custom HIL/SIL test rigs.
• Ability to create simulation models with MATLAB/Simulink.
• Knowledge of safety-critical standards, including IEC 62061 and relevant ECSS and FAA standards.
