TL;DR
Artificial Intelligence Lead (Insurance): Developing and deploying AI and GenAI solutions across insurance value chains with an accent on underwriting, pricing, claims, fraud detection, customer service, and document intelligence. Focus on leading multidisciplinary teams, governing machine learning models in regulated environments, and driving AI transformation across insurance operations.
Location: Madrid, Spain; hybrid working model with some days remote and some days onsite.

What you will do
- Develop and execute an AI strategy aligned with insurance growth, loss ratio optimization, customer retention, and operational efficiency objectives.
- Identify and prioritize AI and GenAI use cases for underwriting, pricing, claims, fraud detection, customer service, and document processing.
- Design and deploy AI-powered solutions that improve risk assessment, customer experience, combined ratio, and operational scalability.
- Lead cross-functional Data Science, IT, Actuarial, Risk, Operations, and Compliance teams through solution design and integration.
- Oversee the development, validation, monitoring, governance, and risk management of machine learning models.
- Drive insurance AI research, proof-of-concept initiatives, vendor partnerships, AI literacy, and organizational change.
Requirements
- Experience with GenAI and AI/ML applications in insurance, including implementation in underwriting, pricing, claims, fraud, or customer analytics.
- 8+ years of experience in AI/ML roles and 5+ years of experience in insurance or insurtech.
- Experience leading large-scale AI programs and multidisciplinary teams.
- Strong knowledge of machine learning, predictive modeling, GenAI, LLM applications, prompt engineering, Python, cloud AI platforms, MLOps, and model governance.
- Understanding of actuarial concepts, insurance risk modeling, insurance KPIs, and regulatory frameworks such as Solvency II and IFRS 17.
- Fluent English and Spanish required. A BSc or MSc in a quantitative or technical field is also required.
