Medical Advisor Hematology / Oncology (m/f/d) (Hematology/Oncology): Supporting the Austrian Medical Strategy through scientific stakeholder engagement, evidence generation, patient-access activities, launch readiness, and compliant medical communications with an accent on hematology/oncology expertise and Austrian healthcare requirements. Focus on translating medical insights into actionable plans, generating evidence, coordinating cross-functional initiatives, and using digital and AI-enabled tools for omnichannel engagement.

Location: Austria; regular travel within Austria and occasional international travel, with up to approximately 50% field/travel time.

What you will do

  • Support the development, implementation, and evolution of Austrian Medical Plans aligned with regional and global priorities.
  • Provide scientific leadership in hematology/oncology, including product, treatment-landscape, competitor, and clinical knowledge.
  • Build stakeholder engagement plans and maintain scientific relationships with external experts, societies, investigators, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders.
  • Identify evidence gaps and support real-world evidence, HEOR, investigator-initiated research, clinical development, and patient-access activities.
  • Collaborate with Commercial, Market Access, Regulatory, Pharmacovigilance, Compliance, Legal, Clinical Operations, and Medical Affairs teams while maintaining medical independence.
  • Prepare local scientific materials, support launch readiness, and use digital and AI-enabled tools for compliant omnichannel medical engagement.

Requirements

  • Advanced scientific or clinical degree such as MD, PhD, PharmD, or equivalent.
  • Typically 3–5 years of relevant hematology/oncology experience; Medical Affairs, Medical Advisor, MSL, or comparable scientific/clinical experience is preferred.
  • Strong scientific and business acumen, project-management skills, independence, ownership, and ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Strong interpersonal, written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex scientific information clearly.
  • Excellent verbal and written German and English required.
  • Good understanding of Austrian pharmaceutical legislation, healthcare, treatment pathways, formulary, and reimbursement systems; willingness to travel regularly and attend occasional evening or weekend congresses and meetings.
