Senior Quality Engineer (Automation) (Azure/Java): Designing and evolving automated testing frameworks and suites for cloud-native SaaS/PaaS insurance solutions with an accent on UI, API, integration, database, and continuous testing. Focus on integrating automation into CI/CD pipelines, standardizing QA practices across Agile teams, and ensuring reliable coverage across front-end and back-end services.
Location: Bratislava, Slovakia
Salary: EUR 3,800–6,300 per month for a full-time role, plus performance-based variable compensation.

What you will do
- Own and evolve the automation strategy within a product engineering team.
- Design, develop, maintain, and execute scalable automated test frameworks and suites across multiple Life & Health product lines.
- Perform QA across user interfaces, services, REST APIs, databases, and integration layers.
- Identify, report, troubleshoot, and validate defects with development teams.
- Integrate test automation with build verification systems, IDE plugins, linting tools, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Collaborate with QAs, software engineers, DevOps, and cloud teams to improve quality and infrastructure reliability.
Requirements
- Hands-on experience with test automation, continuous testing, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience standardizing QA processes and best practices across Agile teams.
- Strong knowledge of automated testing across UI, API, integration, database, regression, compatibility, and end-to-end layers.
- Experience with Playwright, Cypress, REST Assured with Java, Postman or Bruno, and Enterprise Java technologies.
- Working knowledge of performance and load testing, including K6, JMeter, or similar tools.
- Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Azure DevOps.
Nice to have
- Experience with Selenium WebDriver, Cucumber, Bruno, Sitespeed, Azure, Kubernetes/AKS, Grafana, or Azure Monitor.
- Experience in insurance, reinsurance, or financial services.
