Senior Electrical Manufacturing Engineer (Aerospace)

Salary: $140,000–$175,000 annually, plus equity

What you will do

• Lead design-for-excellence reviews across PCBs, PCBAs, machined components, electromechanical assemblies, and tooling.
• Develop manufacturing systems, tooling, and processes for spacecraft electronic assemblies, avionics, and harnesses.
• Build prototypes, define subassembly flows, and transition first-article designs from low-rate to high-rate production.
• Implement Manufacturing Execution System software and documentation processes.
• Improve production efficiency to meet satellite takt times and scale manufacturing technologies to flight hardware.
• Mentor manufacturing engineers, technicians, and design peers on electronics manufacturing practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace, or another relevant engineering discipline.
• 6+ years of experience in high-volume, rapid-production manufacturing, integration, or design engineering.
• Experience with IPC standards including IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600, and J-STD-001.
• Deep knowledge of PCBA assembly, wire harness manufacturing, avionics subassemblies, and PCBA/mechanical enclosure integration.
• Strong understanding of DFX, GD&T, mechanical assembly drawings, and first-article to high-rate production transitions.
• Must be a U.S. person or otherwise eligible for a federally issued export control license under ITAR requirements.

Nice to have

• Tooling design for electromechanical subassemblies and electronics.
• Experience developing production processes from the ground up and improving designs for manufacturability.
• Knowledge of technician workflows, aerospace soldering, torque, and quality standards.
• Familiarity with NX or equivalent CAD software, MES, procedure templates, and non-conformance documentation.
