Company

hirify.global develops and mass-produces high-power satellite platforms for commercial and U.S. government missions from low Earth orbit to deep space.

What you will do

  • Partner with design engineers to improve manufacturability across PCBs, PCBAs, machined components, electromechanical assemblies, and tooling.
  • Develop manufacturing systems, methods, tooling, and build flows for spacecraft electronic and avionics subassemblies.
  • Build and evaluate prototypes while continuously improving designs for manufacturability.
  • Create efficient production flows for satellite subassemblies and align build times with takt times.
  • Implement advanced manufacturing techniques on flight hardware and scale them to high-rate production.
  • Collaborate with advanced manufacturing engineers on new technologies for current and future spacecraft.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, aerospace, or a related engineering discipline.
  • 3+ years of experience in a high-volume, rapid-production environment involving manufacturing, integration, or design engineering.
  • Experience with PCBA assembly, wire harness manufacturing, electromechanical enclosure assembly, and first-article production-floor setup.
  • Familiarity with IPC-A-610, IPC-A-600, J-STD-001, conformal coating processes, and associated inspection and rework methods.
  • Experience providing DFX guidance and reviewing electrical and mechanical designs, including GD&T and mechanical assembly drawings.
  • Must be a U.S. person under ITAR or otherwise eligible for a federally issued export-control license.

Nice to have

  • Experience designing tooling for electromechanical subassemblies and electronics.
  • Experience developing production processes from the ground up and driving design improvements for manufacturing.
  • Experience working with technicians, build tooling, aerospace manufacturing standards, and quality-assurance processes.
  • Familiarity with NX or equivalent CAD software and MES systems for procedure creation and non-conformance documentation.

Culture & Benefits

  • Opportunity to contribute to a high-growth, Series D-funded spacecraft company.
  • Paid time off, medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Life insurance and paid parental leave.
