Strategic Delivery Lead (AI)

Location: Hybrid, three days per week in the office in San Francisco, CA or New York City, NY

Salary: $296,000–$444,000 annual base salary for Tier 1 locations, plus equity compensation.

What you will do

• Own the pod’s margin performance, cost-to-deliver, gross margin, capacity, and operating economics.
• Translate domain strategy and priority bets into four-quarter delivery roadmaps and mobilize cross-functional teams.
• Manage and grow Strategic Project Leads while ensuring portfolio projects are delivered on time, with high quality and expected financial returns.
• Connect GTM, Research, Delivery, Product, Engineering, and Expert AI Supply across commercial planning, staffing, risks, and tradeoffs.
• Build workforce plans, operating rhythms, processes, playbooks, and systemic fixes for recurring delivery problems.
• Inspect quality issues directly, drive corrective action, and share learnings across the organization.

Requirements

• Experience owning a P&L or business unit, including pricing and cost trade-offs.
• Deep technical-domain experience in software engineering, computer use and agents, or an adjacent frontier area.
• Track record of building functions, products, or business lines from an early stage.
• Commercial judgment in technical discovery, engagement scoping, margin discussions, and timeline negotiations.
• Typically 8+ years of relevant experience and prior people-management experience; three or more years of people management is preferred.
• Ability to lead through influence with peers and cross-functional partners who are not direct reports.

• Experience with AI/ML data, evaluations, or benchmarks.
• Experience building a function or business line inside a fast-scaling company.
• Founder or early-employee experience in a technical product company.
