Software Engineering Intern (AI)

What you will do

• Own and deliver well-scoped product features end-to-end across the TypeScript and Node.js stack, with Go as a possible additional technology.
• Build AI-powered creator features such as automated chat, content generation, personalization, and moderation.
• Experiment with LLMs, embeddings, and vector databases in product development.
• Use AI-assisted development tools including Cursor, Claude Code, and GitHub Copilot.
• Collaborate with product, design, and senior engineers; participate in architecture discussions and code reviews.
• Ship work to production, iterate from feedback, and present the results at the end of the placement.

Requirements

• Currently studying toward or recently completed a Computer Science or related degree, or equivalent experience through projects, open source, or bootcamps.
• Strong software engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and basic system design.
• Proficiency in TypeScript or JavaScript, or a strong general programming foundation with the ability to learn quickly.
• Comfort using AI coding assistants such as Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or Claude, or willingness to become proficient with them.
• High agency, strong motivation, fast learning ability, coachability, and a willingness to work through ambiguity and rapid iteration.
• Availability for a hybrid placement in London.

Nice to have

• Experience with Node.js, React, or Next.js.
• Curiosity about LLMs, prompt engineering, and AI product development.
