Focus on reviewing acuity and resource consumption, documenting findings in health management systems, collaborating with medical directors and providers, and guiding timely transitions between care settings.
Location: Remote-NY; candidates must work Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM ET, with a one-hour lunch break.
Salary: $27.02–$48.55 per hour

What you will do
- Perform concurrent reviews to assess members’ overall health, treatment needs, medical necessity, and appropriate level of care.
- Evaluate acuity, resource consumption, length of stay, continuity of care, and discharge plans.
- Document review findings, medical records, discharge plans, and actions in health management systems.
- Collaborate with Medical Affairs, Medical Directors, care management, and healthcare providers on care determinations and referrals.
- Provide education to providers on utilization management processes and recommend improvements to care appropriateness.
- Review transfers and discharges to support timely movement between care levels and facilities.
Requirements
- BSN or graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- 2–4 years of related experience.
- Active and unrestricted New York State RN license is strongly preferred.
- LPN state licensure is required.
- Clinical knowledge sufficient to assess member health, treatment needs, and appropriate care levels.
- Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid regulations, and utilization management processes is preferred.
