Federal Tax Associate (Fall 2026/ Winter 2027)

Location: Houston, United States; travel to assigned client locations is required, with reliable transportation available.

Salary: $70,400–$84,000 per year.

What you will do

• Work on tax engagements covering corporate, individual, pass-through entity, nonprofit, private client, and other specialty areas.
• Complete tax planning and research.
• Prepare federal and state and local tax returns.
• Apply tax regulations and accounting pronouncements.
• Collaborate with clients and engagement teams across multiple assignments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent from an accredited university.
• Accounting major.
• Ability to travel to assigned client locations and arrange reliable transportation.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel proficiency.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Nice to have

• Minimum 3.0 GPA.
• Progress toward successful completion of the CPA exam.
