Generation Major Construction Project Manager (Power Generation)

Location: Hybrid role based at an SCE facility in California, with primary work location in Redlands, CA; the position also references Rosemead, CA. Employees are required to work and reside in California. Up to 25% travel and field work throughout the SCE service territory.

Salary: $143,900–$215,800 annually.

What you will do

• Manage moderate to large, mid- and long-term generation construction projects and programs across scope, schedule, budget, cost, and risk.
• Lead project teams, project managers, contractors, and supplemental leaders through project development and execution.
• Develop project strategies, business cases, schedules, budgets, change controls, cost estimates, and execution plans.
• Direct engineering, environmental assessment, permitting, land acquisition, procurement, construction, testing, quality assurance, and project closeout.
• Represent SCE with regulatory agencies, cities, counties, and state and federal organizations.
• Maintain safety leadership, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity and asset protection, and executive-level project reporting.

Requirements

• At least seven years of construction project management experience.
• Valid Class C driver’s license.
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Engineering, Business, Construction Management, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience managing complex power generation, water, or gas utility projects, including budgets, schedules, resources, vendors, contracts, change management, and risk.
• Experience working with environmental, safety, regulatory permitting, local government, and state or federal organizations.
• Knowledge of power-generating plant operations and experience with Primavera or MS Project and Microsoft Office are preferred.

• Project management certification or degree.
• Experience with utility reliability, customer service, safety, regulatory compliance, negotiation, and continuous improvement.
