What you will do
- Define and drive the long-term strategy for the studio's Design craft.
- Lead, coach, and develop Design Leads and senior design talent.
- Oversee the growth and health of the Design organization, including hiring and career development.
- Establish shared design principles, best practices, and quality standards.
- Partner with Creative and Game Directors to ensure the Design craft supports creative ambitions.
- Represent Design in studio-level planning and resource allocation.
Requirements
- Extensive experience leading design teams within AAA, PC, or Console game development.
- Proven track record as a people leader coaching senior designers and leads.
- Deep understanding of game design principles and modern production workflows.
- Ability to translate studio ambitions into clear long-term strategies.
- Strong collaborative and empathetic communication skills.
- Must be able to work onsite at the studio in Helsinki, Finland.
Nice to have
- Experience leading a Design discipline across multiple projects or teams.
- Experience scaling or transforming a Design organization.
- Background in high-quality action or systems-driven games.
- Experience within a first-party studio environment.
