Location: On-site at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia, Missouri; limited to individuals who reside and are authorized to work within the United States.
Salary: $18.65–$20.50 per hour, based on experience.

What you will do
- Review uninsured and under-insured patient cases for Medicaid and financial assistance eligibility.
- Initiate and coordinate applications, including collecting required documentation from patients.
- Track submitted applications through determination and update insurance information.
- Support timely billing or financial adjustment posting.
- Document patient communications and actions in patient accounting systems.
- Work with Medicaid caseworkers and revenue cycle departments to resolve application and eligibility matters.
Requirements
- 1–2 years of healthcare experience involving patient interaction about hospital financial issues.
- High school diploma or GED; equivalent post-secondary education and experience may be considered.
- Knowledge of revenue cycle processes, including admissions, billing, payments, and denials.
- Knowledge of patient insurance processes, authorizations, benefits verification, health insurance requirements, and medical terminology or procedure codes.
- Must reside in and be authorized to work within the United States.
- CRCR certification required within 9 months of hire.
Nice to have
- Patient Access experience with managed care or insurance.
- Call Center experience.
