Design & Innovation Manager (Packaging)

Location: On site in Hinckley with regular travel to sites and customers; travel may reach 50% of working hours

What you will do

• Lead the cluster design and innovation strategy in alignment with wider division and country objectives.
• Manage the PackRight Centre and a team of packaging designers, fostering creativity, quality, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
• Drive consistent design tools, services, KPIs, reporting, and innovation delivery practices.
• Lead innovation development projects that create customer value and strengthen retailer engagement.
• Collaborate with sales, manufacturing, and customer teams to translate market needs into practical packaging solutions.
• Ensure packaging designs meet regulatory standards and develop a local testing and specification centre of excellence.

Requirements

• Experience managing innovation or design teams in a manufacturing or packaging environment.
• Strong people leadership, coaching, communication, and presentation skills.
• Change management capability with a track record of challenging, improving, and driving transformation.
• Commercial acumen combined with creative and strategic thinking and a hands-on approach.
• Strong organisation skills and a curious, solutions-focused mindset.
• Fluent English is required.
