Location: Remote from Uruguay
Compensation: $45–$80 per hour

recruits experienced Python software engineers for paid, project-based engagements with a leading AI lab.
What you will do
- Debug and resolve issues across complex, multi-file codebases.
- Implement backend and full-stack functionality in production systems.
- Refactor and migrate existing systems.
- Develop and extend unit and integration test suites.
- Write technical specifications and reference implementations.
- Review code and technical submissions, identifying edge cases, ambiguities, and potential failure modes.
Requirements
- 2–7 years of professional software engineering experience.
- Strong proficiency in Python and professional experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
- Working knowledge of at least one additional language, such as Java, C#, or Go.
- Backend or full-stack experience with production systems and testing frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing.
- Experience with code reviews, refactoring, production migrations, and navigating large codebases.
- Advanced professional written English, with strong attention to detail and technical problem-solving skills.
