Python Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Remote from Paraguay

Compensation: $45–$80 per hour

What you will do

• Debug and resolve issues across complex, multi-file production codebases.
• Implement backend or full-stack functionality using Python and related technologies.
• Refactor and migrate existing systems.
• Develop and extend unit and integration test suites.
• Write technical specifications and reference implementations.
• Review code and technical submissions, identifying edge cases, ambiguities, and failure modes.

Requirements

• 2–7 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and professional experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Working knowledge of at least one additional language, such as Java, C#, or Go.
• Backend or full-stack experience with production systems and large, multi-file codebases.
• Experience with testing frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing.
• Advanced professional written English proficiency.

Nice to have

• Experience with code reviews, refactoring, and production migrations.
• Strong attention to detail and technical problem-solving skills.
