Python Software Engineer

Location: Remote from Chile

Compensation: $45–$80 per hour

What you will do

• Debug complex, multi-file codebases and resolve software issues.
• Implement backend or full-stack functionality in production systems.
• Refactor and migrate existing systems.
• Develop and extend unit and integration test suites.
• Write technical specifications and reference implementations.
• Review code and technical submissions for correctness, quality, edge cases, and failure modes.

Requirements

• 2–7 years of professional software engineering experience.
• Strong proficiency in Python and professional experience with JavaScript or TypeScript.
• Working knowledge of Java, C#, or Go.
• Backend or full-stack experience with production systems and testing frameworks such as pytest, Jest, JUnit, xUnit, or Go testing.
• Experience with code reviews, refactoring, production migrations, and large codebases.
• Advanced professional written English proficiency required.
