Senior Software Engineer (AI Security)

Location: United States or Canada; remote or from one of the listed office locations, with no minimum in-office requirement

Salary: USA — $180,000–$275,000 base salary for all other states; $215,000–$325,000 for California, New York, and Washington; Canada — $260,000–$385,000 base salary. Equity is offered.

What you will do

• Build autonomous security agents for alert triage, secure code reviews, threat modeling, and vulnerability assessment.
• Develop agent orchestration systems that automate repetitive security tasks.
• Design security controls that enable agents to interact safely with sensitive enterprise data.
• Create security infrastructure for high-trust environments with stringent deployment requirements.
• Ship production-ready agent capabilities that operate efficiently in resource-constrained environments.
• Research novel security patterns and conduct security testing of agents and their supporting platform.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience and a track record of shipping user-facing security features.
• Strong production experience with Python.
• Experience building or working with autonomous systems, AI agents, or intelligent automation.
• Understanding of session management, authentication, authorization, and secure coding practices.
• Ability to work across application security, agent behavior security, and infrastructure security.
• Comfort working across the full stack and adapting to unfamiliar codebases and changing priorities.
