What you will do
- Refine AI-generated game translations using terminology databases, style guides, and Taiwanese Chinese language conventions.
- Correct logical errors, semantic deviations, and unnatural phrasing while adapting content to local reading habits.
- Review political, religious, legal, and cultural sensitivities against target-market regulations and cultural norms.
- Proofread text in game test builds and support UI layout optimization with the design team.
- Maintain terminology databases and translation memories, and help create or update localization standards.
Requirements
- Native-level Chinese with strong knowledge of Taiwanese Chinese and Traditional Chinese characters.
- Good proficiency in English.
- Experience editing machine-translated text and prior game localization experience.
- Strong understanding of Taiwanese culture, politics, entertainment trends, and current Traditional Chinese orthography.
- Knowledge of Islamic cultural taboos and sensitivities in Central Asia.
- Collaborative attitude, willingness to learn, and openness to constructive feedback.
Nice to have
- Experience in media content, anime, comics, games, or in-game proofreading.
- Experience with large-scale FPS game titles.
