Biomedical Equipment Technician

Location: San Diego District, San Diego, California, United States; onsite work at customer healthcare sites

Salary: $28.50–$44.90 per hour

What you will do

• Inspect, maintain, calibrate, and repair company- and customer-owned medical equipment.
• Perform operational verification, preventive maintenance, and corrective repair services.
• Complete service documentation, computer data entry, billing records, and regulatory compliance paperwork.
• Communicate with clinical staff about equipment features and functionality.

Requirements

• Associate degree in electronics, mechanical engineering, or biomedical equipment technology, or equivalent military training or CBET certification.
• Basic computer skills and an understanding of computer networks and equipment interaction.
• Current, valid, unrestricted driver's license and a safe driving record required.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and emergency off-hours for 24/7 support.
• Ability to travel periodically and lift, push, or pull up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to perform frequent bending, stooping, twisting, climbing, crouching, kneeling, crawling, sitting, standing, and walking.
