Credit Analyst (Banking)

Location: Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. The proportion of on-site and remote work will be discussed during the interview.

What you will do

• Provide credit support to Independent Business and Mid-Market Commercial Banking Managers and their portfolios.
• Service client credit needs and coordinate transactional requirements with managers and internal partners.
• Prepare client and credit files, coordinate paperwork, and maintain documentation to audit standards.
• Support the administration of clients' ongoing credit-related needs and internal and external transaction execution.
• Address client requests and operational issues while ensuring AML and GRLR compliance.
• Communicate with relationship managers, associates, commercial banking colleagues, hirify.global partners, and external contacts.

Requirements

• Prior experience in the financial services industry with strong knowledge of banking products and services.
• Commercial Banking experience is an asset.
• Strong communication, client engagement, organizational, critical-thinking, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to analyze detailed information, prepare accurate documentation, and make informed decisions.
• Ability to work effectively with clients, team members, internal partners, and external service providers.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada and able to provide a valid work or study permit where applicable.
