Electrical Engineering Technician (Wearables)

Sesame is developing lifelike computers and voice-agent technology through integrated hardware and software systems.

What you will do

• Assemble, test, debug, and rework compact electro-mechanical prototype systems.
• Perform fine-pitch soldering, paste and reflow work, and build custom cables, adapters, and small enclosures.
• Operate, maintain, and select electrical test equipment, including oscilloscopes, power supplies, DMMs, and spectrum analyzers.
• Develop and maintain prototype build and debug procedures, including automated component testing and data collection.
• Coordinate fabrication vendors delivering PCBs, PCBAs, and metal and plastic prototype parts.
• Manage lab space, equipment, supplies, and inventory.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on experience in consumer electronics or a related field.
• Mastery of fine-pitch soldering and reflow techniques for 01005, QFN, and BGA components with 300 µm pitch.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Experience selecting, operating, and maintaining benchtop electrical test equipment and executing electrical system test plans.
• Basic understanding of firmware or software test scripts.
• Strong communication, attention to detail, organizational skills, and proactive technical problem-solving ability.

Nice to have

• Experience with wearable or soft-goods products.
• Familiarity with ECAD software.
