Internship: Visual Algorithms Optimisation (Computer Vision)

What you will do

• Study and develop alternative map-correlation algorithms for visual navigation.
• Improve algorithm robustness under different camera orientations and geometric distortions.
• Study map-correlation and image-to-map registration techniques.
• Develop and evaluate matching algorithms using simulated data and data from real flight campaigns.

Requirements

• Be studying for a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, Physics, Mathematics or a related field.
• Interest in visual navigation, computer vision and algorithm development.
• Knowledge of image processing, linear algebra, projective geometry and statistics.
• Experience or interest in programming with Python and/or C++.
