TL;DR
HR Legal & Social Relations Expert (Belgian Labour and Social Law): Advising management and stakeholders on complex employment-law matters, representing ING Belgium in legal proceedings, and supporting social dialogue and negotiations with employee representatives with an accent on Belgian labour legislation, GDPR, and HR legal policy. Focus on monitoring legal developments, resolving complex cases, and balancing legal requirements with business objectives.

What you will do

  • Monitor developments in labour and social law and assess their impact on the organization.
  • Advise management and stakeholders on complex social-legal matters.
  • Represent the organization in internal and external legal proceedings.
  • Lead discussions and negotiations with employee representatives and social partners.
  • Develop and implement HR legal policies and practices.
  • Balance legal requirements with business objectives and strategic priorities.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Law, ideally with a specialization in Social Law.
  • Strong knowledge of Belgian labour and social legislation.
  • Knowledge of GDPR and its application in an HR environment.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in a company, consultancy, or employment-law firm.
  • Experience in social dialogue, negotiations, complex legal cases, and stakeholder management.
  • Fluent Dutch, French, and English, both written and spoken.
