Garment Technologist, Event Dresses (Lipsy)

Location: Hybrid, based at the hirify.global Head Office on Tottenham Court Road in central London

What you will do

• Own technical development across the Lipsy Event Dresses department.
• Drive fit sessions, sealing procedures, product approvals, and compliance with technical standards.
• Carry out risk assessments, fabric testing, and test report evaluations.
• Identify, communicate, and resolve product, manufacturing, fabric, and quality issues.
• Work closely with Buying, Design, suppliers, and internal teams to progress product development and quality assurance.
• Benchmark products, improve technical policies and processes, and ensure products meet legal, health, safety, and customer requirements.

Requirements

• Relevant experience as a Garment Technologist across womenswear, ideally within a high-street fashion retailer.
• Demonstrable experience in fabric testing and test report evaluation across multiple product categories.
• Experience working with a broad supply base, including overseas suppliers.
• Proficiency with Excel and confidence using internal systems.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with colleagues and suppliers at all levels.
• Ability to work proactively in a fast-paced environment, both independently and as part of a team.
