Design Engineer (Textiles)

Location: Älmhult, Sweden

What you will do

• Develop standard engineering solutions for textile products and home furnishing accessories.
• Develop and document fabric constructions, textile accessories, and other engineering solutions.
• Work with new technologies, materials, simulation tools, and verification methods.
• Collaborate with colleagues inside and outside the Textile Platform team.
• Support material and range strategy goals through technical product development.
• Contribute to approaches for reducing product cost and environmental impact while improving customer experience.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with fabrics and textile products across development, production, and materials.
• University degree in Textile Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• Experience developing textile furniture products or other consumer products.
• Good knowledge of textile production and materials, including cotton, man-made cellulose, and other natural fibres.
• Experience documenting textile products in Windchill or similar systems and using textile CAD tools such as Arahne, NedGraphics, or Shima Seiki.
• Fluent written and spoken English, with the ability to communicate complex topics clearly and turn them into actionable outputs.
