TL;DR
Trade Marketing Associate (Retail Marketing/Brand Activation): Executing trade marketing campaigns, retail visibility initiatives, field activations, and customer engagement programs across Maputo with an accent on merchandising standards, frontline collaboration, and market insight collection. Focus on conducting field activities, improving point-of-sale execution, coordinating community activations, and measuring customer acquisition and campaign performance.
Location: Onsite in Maputo, Mozambique; extensive travel across Maputo is required, with at least 70% of working time in the field.

What you will do
- Execute regional trade marketing initiatives, campaigns, promotions, product launches, and seasonal activities.
- Coordinate roadshows, market activations, community events, retail promotions, and shop activations.
- Conduct retail audits and improve branding, product displays, POSM deployment, pricing visibility, and merchandising standards.
- Gather customer, agent, retailer, and competitor insights and submit structured weekly and monthly reports.
- Equip and support agents, retailers, shop teams, and sales representatives with campaign materials and training.
- Manage marketing asset inventory, track activation performance, and measure customer engagement and acquisition.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Marketing, Business Administration, Communications, Sales, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in trade marketing, field marketing, brand activation, retail marketing, sales enablement, or a similar role.
- Experience working with retailers, agents, shop operations, or field sales teams.
- Strong knowledge of retail execution, customer engagement, and field marketing fundamentals.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel extensively across Maputo.

- Experience in FMCG, telecommunications, consumer electronics, PAYGO, or retail-focused businesses.
