What you will do
- Translate and localize marketing, website, product, and in-app content into Tagalog and Cebuano.
- Adapt content for cultural relevance and natural language across Philippine regional audiences.
- Review Filipino-language content before publication and provide backup review for other authors.
- Partner with Marketing, Content, and Product to manage briefs, priorities, and delivery schedules.
- Own the quality of published Filipino-language content and improve existing materials.
- Build and maintain Filipino-language glossaries and style guides aligned with the brand voice.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience with end-to-end ownership of a localization workflow.
- Professional experience in editing, translation, journalism, copywriting, or localization for commercial clients.
- Native or near-native fluency in English, Tagalog, and Cebuano.
- Strong editorial judgment and the ability to make independent localization decisions and give clear feedback.
- Experience building or contributing to localization guidelines, glossaries, or style guides.
- Understanding of how Filipinos interact with financial products and digital interfaces.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with localization and translation management tools such as Lokalise, Phrase, Smartling, or Crowdin.
- Degree in linguistics, translation, journalism, communications, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
