Senior Solutions Firmware Engineer (Server Solutions)

Location: Penang, Malaysia. Right to work in Malaysia is required.

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain firmware drivers and low-level software for server platforms.
• Develop and integrate firmware features for platform and customer requirements.
• Debug firmware, hardware, and system-level issues across the software stack.
• Collaborate with hardware, BIOS/BMC, platform, and software engineering teams.
• Support system bring-up, integration, validation, and issue resolution throughout the product lifecycle.
• Analyze system behavior, identify root causes, and contribute to code reviews and firmware process improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or a related engineering discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in firmware, embedded software, or system software development.
• Hands-on experience with firmware and device driver development.
• Strong C programming skills and knowledge of system architecture and hardware-software interactions.
• Understanding of embedded software development and operating system concepts.
• Strong debugging, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Firmware development experience in bare-metal or RTOS environments.
• Familiarity with Zephyr, Linux, or other embedded operating systems.
• Knowledge of server architecture and server platform technologies.
• Experience with BMC, Redfish, IPMI, or other server management technologies.
