Senior DevSecOps Engineer (Fintech)

What you will do

• Define the cloud infrastructure vision and architectural standards for Google Cloud Platform across engineering teams.
• Design and operate highly available, fault-tolerant, low-latency infrastructure for high-throughput trading platforms, including disaster recovery, backups, restore tests, and failover tests.
• Lead Infrastructure as Code initiatives with Terraform and evolve production Kubernetes platforms with network policies, admission control, workload identity, and upgrade processes.
• Secure identity and access management, secrets, software supply chains, CI/CD pipelines, containers, and cloud infrastructure through automated guardrails and security controls.
• Lead vulnerability management, observability, incident response, reliability initiatives, and compliance evidence generation across platform and security operations.
• Mentor DevOps engineers and collaborate with Java/Kotlin and Python teams on Spring Boot microservices, messaging, databases, performance, and data lake infrastructure.

Requirements

• Senior technical leadership experience with ownership of projects from start to finish and a record of organisation-wide improvements.
• Expert knowledge of GCP, Kubernetes, container orchestration, Terraform, CI/CD, DevOps, and DevSecOps.
• Proficiency in Python and advanced Bash scripting.
• Hands-on experience with several areas of cloud security, including IAM, least-privilege design, secrets management, policy-as-code, supply-chain security, Kubernetes hardening, and cloud network security.
• Experience with at least two of Kafka, CloudSQL, and GitHub Actions, plus monitoring, observability, and incident management at scale.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to work with security specialists and teams responsible for challenging technical designs.

Nice to have

• Experience with DORA, ISO 27001, policy-as-code tooling, cloud security posture management, SBOMs, Sigstore, Cosign, or SLSA-style provenance.
• Experience with cloud KMS, threat modelling, Cloud Run, Cloud Functions, RabbitMQ, Cassandra, Google Pub/Sub, or Vertex AI.
• Ability to understand Java/Kotlin and Spring Boot applications, plus knowledge of financial services and neobroker business models.
• CKS or Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification.
