Principal Software Engineer (Fintech)

Salary: $149,820–$187,280 annual base salary, plus potential incentive compensation

What you will do

• Lead the architecture, design, and implementation of enterprise-grade systems and multiple platforms.
• Set technical strategy, engineering standards, design patterns, and long-term platform direction.
• Evaluate technologies and drive scalable, maintainable, secure, and future-ready solutions.
• Partner with product, infrastructure, security, and other stakeholders on strategic initiatives.
• Solve complex challenges involving large-scale data, distributed systems, and cross-domain integrations.
• Champion cloud-native development, automation, observability, and engineering excellence while mentoring senior and lead engineers.

Requirements

• 10+ years of professional software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in a technical leadership role.
• Deep expertise in modern application architecture, cloud platforms including Azure and AWS, and enterprise systems integration.
• Experience leading complex technical projects with cross-functional impact.
• Extensive experience mentoring senior and lead engineers.
• Strong strategic thinking, communication, influence, critical thinking, business acumen, and customer focus.
