Intermediate Software Engineer (Ruby on Rails)

Location: Remote; eligible locations include Canada, Israel, the United Kingdom, and the United States

Salary: $115,200–$172,800 USD per year for residents of the United States

What you will do

• Develop and maintain backend features for vulnerability management workflows.
• Build and improve security dashboards, vulnerability reports, and data ingestion pipelines.
• Improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of security data systems.
• Collaborate with frontend engineers, product managers, product designers, and related security teams.
• Review code, address technical debt, and maintain standards for a high-scale web environment.
• Participate in on-call rotations and troubleshoot product and security operations issues.

Requirements

• Experience building and maintaining backend applications with Ruby on Rails.
• Experience delivering and maintaining software systems within a larger engineering team.
• Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
• Ability to investigate technical problems and work toward practical resolutions.
• Clear communication and collaboration skills in a distributed team.
• Remote work eligibility is limited to Canada, Israel, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Nice to have

• Frontend development experience with JavaScript or Vue.js.
• Experience with Elasticsearch, graph databases, vulnerability management, application security, or related skills.
