Staff Frontend Engineer (Vue.js)

Location: Zürich, Switzerland; hybrid setup with flexibility to work remotely

What you will do

• Set frontend technical direction across multiple teams and connect architecture strategy with business outcomes, delivery risk, and customer impact.
• Own the technical vision for key real-estate user journeys, focusing on performance, accessibility, UX quality, and reliability.
• Design and drive adoption of shared frontend libraries, design-system components, tooling, performance monitoring, and observability patterns.
• Lead cross-team migrations, framework upgrades, cross-brand UI harmonisation, and other multi-system initiatives.
• Partner with Product, Design, DevX, and engineering leadership on technical strategy, ADRs, blueprints, and engineering standards.
• Mentor engineers, facilitate knowledge sharing, and promote testing, monitoring, security, and operational excellence.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional experience with Vue.js or similar frontend frameworks.
• Strong experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, large-scale frontend applications, and modern frontend architecture.
• Senior technical leadership experience in a Staff, Lead, or equivalent role, including complex cross-team initiatives and stakeholder alignment.
• Experience with automated frontend testing using Jest, Vitest, and/or Cypress, plus modern CI/CD, feature flagging, and microfrontend environments.
• Experience creating shared frontend solutions and driving adoption across multiple teams or product areas.
• Excellent spoken and written English communication skills and the ability to explain complex topics to international audiences.

Nice to have

• Production experience with Vue 3, React, frontend APIs, microservices, and AWS services such as Lambda.
• Experience with web performance, accessibility, SEO, server-side or hybrid rendering, edge, and CDN optimisation.
• Experience with cloud platforms including AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.
