TL;DR
Senior UI/UX Designer – AI (Generative AI/Conversational UX): Designing intelligent experiences across Intermedia's enterprise communications products with an accent on conversational interfaces, AI assistants, agentic workflows, and responsible design. Focus on translating complex AI capabilities into understandable interactions, designing trust and user-control patterns, and establishing scalable design-system components across products.
Location: Portugal; fully remote

What you will do
- Design AI-powered experiences across web, desktop, mobile, and administrative interfaces.
- Develop interaction models for generative AI, conversational interfaces, copilots, assistants, recommendations, summarization, and workflow automation.
- Lead design initiatives from research and discovery through prototyping, implementation, launch, and post-launch optimization.
- Design trust, transparency, confirmation, undo, escalation, feedback, and human-in-the-loop patterns for AI interactions.
- Contribute to scalable design-system components for conversational interfaces, generated content, AI actions, and agentic workflows.
- Collaborate with Product, AI/ML, Engineering, Research, Security, Privacy, Legal, and other design teams while mentoring designers.
Requirements
- 5+ years of professional UI/UX, Product Design, or Interaction Design experience, ideally with complex SaaS or enterprise software.
- A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design, complex workflows, interaction design, and problem solving.
- Strong knowledge of usability, interaction design, information architecture, accessibility, and human factors.
- Experience with user research, usability testing, Product Management, Engineering, and Agile software development.
- Strong proficiency with Figma, prototyping tools, and modern design-system practices.
- Practical familiarity with generative AI, machine learning, LLMs, conversational UX, AI agents, prompts, uncertainty, hallucinations, privacy, explainability, and user control.
Nice to have
- Experience with enterprise communications, collaboration, contact center, productivity, or workflow-automation products.
- Experience designing AI copilots, assistants, conversational interfaces, agentic workflows, voice, or multimodal interfaces.
- Experience contributing to large-scale design systems and working with HTML/CSS constraints.
- Knowledge of accessibility standards, inclusive design, or AI-assisted design and prototyping tools.
- Experience with globally distributed Product and Engineering teams.
