3D General Artist (Mobile Games)

Location: Hybrid role based in Hanoi, Vietnam; five working days per week with up to three days working from home.

What you will do

• Create low-poly 3D models for characters, environments, and props.
• Produce high-poly sculptures that follow the art brief, instructions, and feedback.
• Handle modeling, UV and map baking, texturing, rendering, and implementation in the game engine.
• Optimize assets for mobile performance, including polygon counts, texture atlasing, and LODs.
• Track tasks in Jira and provide clear status updates to the art, production, development, and QA teams.
• Deliver technically compliant assets within project timelines and adapt to new tools, workflows, engines, and art directions.

Requirements

• Solid foundation in 3D modeling, texturing, lighting, and rendering for mobile games.
• Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as Maya, 3ds Max, Blender, or ZBrush, plus Substance 3D Painter and Photoshop.
• Understanding of mobile performance constraints, including polygon counts, texture atlasing, and LODs.
• Strong understanding of form, silhouette, color, and visual storytelling in stylized or realistic art styles.
• Clear communication, collaboration, openness to constructive feedback, and flexibility when priorities or pipelines change.
• Passion for video games and motivation to learn new tools, pipelines, and techniques.
