Accounting Consultant (Operational Accounting)

What you will do

• Own key month-end close activities, including journal entries, accruals, adjustments, and close-related analyses.
• Prepare and review balance sheet and income statement reconciliations and resolve outstanding discrepancies.
• Analyze actual results against budget and forecast and communicate variance drivers and business implications.
• Support monthly and year-end financial reporting, audit requests, and related documentation.
• Maintain and improve internal controls, accounting policies, and close processes.
• Partner with Finance, Operations, and other functions on accounting deliverables and special projects.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 8–15 years of relevant operational or corporate accounting experience with significant month-end close experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and close processes.
• Experience independently managing deliverables in ambiguous environments and working across functions and levels.
• Experience with SAP, Oracle, or another enterprise ERP system, plus advanced Excel skills for analyzing large data sets.
• Global company experience is required; high-tech industry experience is strongly preferred. CPA certification is preferred but not required.
