Global Logistics Specialist

Location: Richmond, CA, United States; on-site. Travel up to 15% may be required, including international travel.

What you will do

• Own the end-to-end global movement of autonomous vehicles, sensors, batteries, spares, tooling, and other equipment.
• Plan and execute shipments to and from job sites, tracking every kit and case and building contingency plans for time-critical deliveries.
• Manage international shipping documentation, including ATA carnets, commercial invoices, HS classification, and customs clearance.
• Evaluate, negotiate with, and manage freight forwarders and carriers, including performance standards and scorecards.
• Own shipping and receiving at the Richmond facility, including packing, inspection, routing, labeling, and organization.
• Build shipment tracking, customs playbooks, dangerous goods procedures, export-control processes, cost benchmarks, and lead-time standards.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of hands-on logistics, shipping and receiving, or supply chain experience.
• International shipping experience, including ATA carnets and customs clearance.
• Working knowledge of international import and export regulations.
• Experience shipping dangerous goods, with lithium battery experience strongly preferred.
• Experience with ITAR and export-controlled shipments, plus relationships with international carriers and freight forwarders.
• Ability to work on-site in Richmond, CA; ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance if required; valid passport and ability to obtain visas for operating countries.

Nice to have

• Dangerous Goods Shipping Certificate or ITAR Certification.
• Experience supporting hardware, robotics, or field equipment logistics.
• Experience building or materially improving a logistics function at an early-stage company.
