What you will do

• Develop and evaluate machine learning models and algorithms for computational perception and interaction.
• Design experiments, improve datasets, compare approaches, and analyze model failure modes.
• Build training and evaluation tools and optimize models for real-time, on-device inference.
• Collaborate with ML researchers and software engineers to prototype sensing technologies on hirify.global Playground.
• Communicate research findings and contribute to a meaningful project shaping future products.

Requirements

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program at an accredited college or university.
• Strong interest in machine learning and willingness to learn new methods and tools.
• Solid mathematical fundamentals, quantitative reasoning, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
• Programming experience in any language.
• Curious, systematic approach to experimentation, with strong communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python or ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow.
• Interest in computer vision, audio processing, sensor fusion, or multimodal learning.
• Interest in model optimization, on-device inference, GPUs, NPUs, or resource-constrained devices.
• Interest in data curation and dataset quality analysis.
• Enthusiasm for games, interactive physical experiences, and active lifestyles.
