Service Controls Technician (HVAC/Controls)

Location: Augusta, Georgia; field-based work conducted on-site at customer locations

Salary: $31.62–$59.91 per hour

What you will do

• Start and commission new HVAC and environmental-control systems in commercial settings.
• Diagnose and repair equipment using knowledge of electronics, direct digital controls, airflow, refrigeration, and mechanical systems.
• Serve as the direct customer contact and service assigned products and equipment at customer locations.
• Coordinate with team leaders and customers on installation and repair requirements, materials, and on-site scheduling.
• Maintain knowledge of Trane products and direct digital control system installation, operation, maintenance, and repair.
• Enforce safety standards, maintain asset records, and remain flexible for overtime and occasional overnight stays.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Typically 3–5 years of HVAC or controls experience.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and handheld devices such as smartphones and iPads.
• Valid driver’s license held for at least 12 months, with no major or frequent recent traffic violations.
• EPA certification is preferred; previous DDC controls experience is preferred.
• Technical school or formal technical training is preferred.
