Specialist, Account Data Management & Governance (Financial Services)

Location: New York City, United States; hybrid with a minimum of three days per week in the office

Salary: $125,000–$150,000 per year, plus discretionary bonus and eligible benefits.

What you will do

• Investigate and resolve account-data mismatches, exceptions, and breaks across trading platforms, data warehouses, visualization systems, and golden sources.
• Oversee new account openings, application updates, custodian-portal setup, and account maintenance in Aladdin, ADAM, and BlackRock Portfolio Toolkit.
• Define and supervise governance for critical data elements, business terms, glossary entries, data rules, regulatory flags, and user-access controls.
• Identify and project-manage account-data enhancements, submit technology stories, participate in grooming sessions, and perform UAT.
• Lead weekly stakeholder meetings and quarterly account-owner and Enterprise Data Governance updates.
• Partner with Sales, Portfolio Management, Operations, Finance, Legal and Compliance, Technology, and offshore teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and 5–8+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience with reference data, security master data, or account master data.
• Experience documenting and mapping business processes, with project management and business analysis experience.
• Strong data analysis, profiling, discovery, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent work efforts independently and perform hands-on manual data investigation and exception resolution.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Aladdin, Datactics, or VantageIQ.
• Data governance experience in financial services, fund launches, fund onboarding, or investment operations.
• Asset management experience, data cataloging tools such as Collibra, or lookup-table-driven rules engines.
• Experience coordinating offshore teams.
