Staff Platform Engineer (GCP)

What you will do

• Define and drive the long-term Platform Engineering roadmap.
• Make strategic architecture and technology decisions across Platform Delivery, CloudOps, DevOps, SRE, Developer Experience, and AI Foundations.
• Establish engineering standards, cloud-native practices, and quality benchmarks.
• Lead the adoption of a platform-centric operating model and self-service capabilities.
• Provide technical leadership for the migration from on-premise infrastructure to Google Cloud Platform.
• Shape technical foundations for scalable and secure AI adoption while partnering with engineering leaders and cross-domain stakeholders.

Requirements

• Strong background in Platform Engineering at scale.
• Broad expertise across Cloud, DevOps, SRE, Developer Experience, and Architecture.
• Experience building internal developer platforms and self-service ecosystems.
• Ability to influence technical decisions across multiple teams without formal authority.
• Proven ownership, autonomy, and results-oriented mindset.
• Passion for mentoring senior technical talent and raising engineering standards.
