TL;DR
.NET Engineering Lead (.NET/HRTech): Strengthening engineering practices and delivering secure, maintainable enterprise HR software for the HRnet platform with an accent on technical leadership, engineering quality, and AI-augmented development. Focus on coaching engineers, improving engineering health and delivery performance, evolving technology choices, and driving consistency across design, development, testing, observability, and maintainability.
Location: Zagreb, Croatia; hybrid

provides payroll and HR services and develops HRnet, a web-based Human Resources Information System covering Core HR, Payroll, Time & Attendance, Talent Management, Travel Management, and related HR modules.
What you will do
- Strengthen engineering capability through coaching, mentoring, knowledge sharing, tech talks, and communities of practice.
- Establish consistent engineering standards across squads, including design, development, testing, security, observability, and maintainability.
- Guide delivery of high-quality .NET enterprise applications and act as an interface between the engineering chapter and the Engineering Centre of Excellence.
- Monitor and improve engineering quality, technical health, delivery performance, risks, and maturity using engineering and flow metrics.
- Evaluate and evolve technologies, frameworks, and tools, including AI-augmented engineering approaches.
- Support recruitment, onboarding, retention, and structured development of engineering talent.
Requirements
- Strong software engineering experience covering coding, testing, automation, security, performance, and quality practices.
- Proven experience developing and delivering enterprise applications using .NET technologies.
- Experience leading, coaching, and mentoring engineers in a software development environment.
- Ability to evaluate technology choices, improve engineering flow, and support outcome-driven development.
- Ability to explain complex technical and functional trade-offs and influence decisions across teams and stakeholders.
- Ability to work in a hybrid setup in Zagreb, Croatia.
Nice to have
- People management experience in an engineering or software development environment.
- Experience in a Technical Lead or Lead Developer role.
- Experience in HR, Payroll, or other enterprise software environments.
- Experience with AI-assisted development tools and engineering practices.
