Location: Edison, New Jersey, United States; regular in-person meetings with agents and brokers and travel required.
Salary: $70,400–$116,200 annual base salary, plus eligibility for performance-based cash incentive awards.

What you will do
- Manage the profitability, growth, and retention of an assigned book of business.
- Underwrite and negotiate routine customer accounts while balancing risk and profitability.
- Analyze business operations, financial statements, market conditions, and contractor risk.
- Build relationships with agents, brokers, and internal partners to identify cross-selling and new business opportunities.
- Market and sell insurance and surety solutions through agency, regional, and group sales plans.
- Meet external partners in person and travel as required.
Requirements
- At least one year of related professional experience; one to three years of applicable underwriting experience is preferred.
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Working knowledge of insurance or surety products, regulatory requirements, and local market conditions.
- Critical thinking skills for underwriting, financial analysis, risk assessment, and business decision-making.
- Communication and negotiation skills for working with agents and brokers.
- Ability to attend in-person meetings and travel to meet external partners.
