QC Lead Analyst (Pharmaceutical Testing): Leading an on-site client-based QC team and performing GMP testing of pharmaceutical substances, including raw materials and drug substances, with an accent on analytical testing, team leadership, data review, and laboratory quality systems. Focus on troubleshooting complex tests, optimizing methods and equipment, leading investigations, and improving quality, safety, productivity, and on-time delivery.
Location: Site-based role in Rathdrum, Wicklow, Ireland. Candidates must be immediately eligible to work in Ireland.

What you will do
- Lead a client-based team of QC analysts and serve as the daily point of contact between and the client.
- Oversee the operational plan, team training, productivity, on-time testing, and delivery against quality and safety targets.
- Perform GMP testing of pharmaceutical substances, including raw materials and drug substances, using applicable analytical procedures.
- Review and verify analytical data, approve GMP documentation, maintain laboratory equipment and supplies, and ensure audit readiness.
- Lead troubleshooting, laboratory investigations, deviations, method and equipment optimization, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support audits, customer service, cross-training, performance reporting, and the development of team members.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry or equivalent education at NFQ Level 7.
- More than five years of equivalent experience in analytical testing.
- Competence in techniques such as HPLC, GC, UV, wet chemistry, and dissolution.
- Familiarity with current Good Manufacturing Practices and analytical technologies.
- Proven leadership and influencing skills, including the ability to develop and coach others.
- Immediate eligibility to work in Ireland is required.
