QA Chapter Lead (AI)

What you will do

• Define and maintain the quality bar and operating model across the IO and AI engineering groups.
• Build a cross-group quality engineering chapter and coach engineers to own testing and release quality.
• Develop testing harnesses, evaluation systems, regression suites, and safety checks for agentic and non-deterministic AI products.
• Establish functional, regression, integration, performance, security, and API testing strategies for platform software.
• Automate quality signals and guardrails through CI/CD tooling, reusable patterns, and engineering enablement.
• Partner with engineering and product leadership on testability, quality risks, acceptance criteria, and release readiness.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance and/or Software Development.
• Strong SDET background with expertise in test automation and platform development.
• Experience raising quality across teams through standards, coaching, reviews, and influence rather than a central QA queue.
• Practical experience with AI-assisted engineering, MCPs, agents, agent skills, evaluation harnesses, and testing non-deterministic or agentic systems.
• Strong understanding of cloud ecosystems, Docker, ETL pipelines, API endpoints, testing methodologies, Playwright, Selenium, TestRail, and CI/CD integration.
• Excellent communication, stakeholder influence, and first-principles problem-solving skills.

Nice to have

• Experience leading test framework or tooling migrations.
• Familiarity with OWASP guidelines and security testing tools.
• Interest in SRE principles and reliability engineering.
• Experience embedding quality practices into teams without an established QA function.
