TL;DR
FinCrime AML/CTF Manager (Fintech): Leading first-line AML/CTF operations across the customer lifecycle with an accent on customer risk assessment, due diligence oversight, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting. Focus on managing AML/CTF analysts, approving SARs and STRs, translating regulatory requirements into operational workflows, and optimizing risk operations with data tools.
Location: Lisbon, Portugal, with mandatory relocation to Luxembourg. Hybrid schedule with three days per week in the office.

What you will do
- Lead, grow, and manage the first-line AML/CTF operations team.
- Own customer risk assessment frameworks and lead periodic and event-driven customer reviews.
- Oversee KYC and KYB due diligence, transaction monitoring, investigations, escalations, and scenario calibration.
- Partner with Product teams to define compliant onboarding requirements and improve user experience.
- Approve Suspicious Activity Reports and Suspicious Transaction Reports and report risk metrics to senior management.
- Prepare documentation and data for audits, regulatory reviews, and competent-authority inquiries.
Requirements
- 6+ years of AML/CTF operations experience in fintech, digital banking, or payment processing, including 2+ years leading dedicated teams.
- Strong knowledge of EU AML Directives, FATF recommendations, and Luxembourg regulatory requirements.
- Professional certification such as CAMS, ICA, or an equivalent qualification.
- Experience managing transaction monitoring systems, approving SARs/STRs, and designing customer risk-rating frameworks.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication, analytical, and change-management skills.
- Experience using data tools such as HEX, SQL, or Splunk to optimize operational queues and resource planning.
