What you will do

• Design electronic bed-of-nails test systems for rapid, repeatable testing of PCBAs from manufacturers.
• Develop automatic pass/fail analysis, test reports, and software that operates test systems.
• Design mechanical jigs and fixtures for dimensional testing, goods incoming inspection, and product assembly.
• Collaborate with electronic, embedded software, and mechanical design teams to ensure production testability and sufficient test coverage.
• Integrate test systems with ERP systems to automate test-data recording, logging, and record keeping.
• Own test-system design from concept through manufacturing, production-line deployment, and lifecycle management.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic, Mechatronic, or Computer Systems Engineering.
• 3+ years of experience as a design engineer working across multidisciplinary design teams.
• Proficiency in at least one engineering discipline and competency in the others, with a willingness to continue learning.
• Experience with scripting languages such as Python.
• Strong communication skills, including the ability to communicate technical topics to non-technical stakeholders.
• Strong attention to detail, curiosity, decisive problem-solving, and a bias for action.

Nice to have

• Experience in deep tech, robotics, SaaS-hardware hybrid, or high-reliability manufacturing organizations.
