Fraud Investigations Jr. Specialist (Fintech): Investigating fraud rings, attack patterns, and complex transaction cases with an accent on transaction monitoring, fraud intelligence, SQL-based analysis, and dashboard development. Focus on reverse-engineering fraudsters' methods, identifying coordinated schemes, documenting evidence, and accelerating preventive actions with AI tools.
Location: Currently remote, transitioning to a flexible hybrid, hub-centric schedule in Mexico City, Guadalajara, Bogotá, Buenos Aires, Rio de Janeiro, and São Paulo.

What you will do
- Monitor fraud rings and attacks, identify active fraud in real time, and block suspicious users.
- Manage external fraud intelligence tools such as Axur and turn external signals into preventive actions.
- Investigate complex cases, reverse-engineer fraudsters' methods, connect cases into coordinated schemes, and document evidence trails.
- Use SQL, dashboards, Excel, and AI tools to retrieve and analyze data for investigations.
- Share emerging fraud patterns with Operations, Strategy, and other stakeholders to accelerate mitigation.
- Support product and country launches, stakeholder escalations, junior investigators, and fraud prevention initiatives.
Requirements
- Graduation in any business major.
- Fluent English in both oral and written communication.
- Experience in fraud investigation and transaction monitoring, including complex cases.
- Understanding of fraud typologies, modus operandi, fraud-ring detection, and root-cause analysis.
- Basic SQL, intermediate Excel, dashboard monitoring, basic data analysis, and experience with G Suite.
- Strong communication skills, documentation habits, adaptability, and willingness to join a rotating weekend on-call schedule.
Nice to have
- Experience with external fraud intelligence platforms such as Axur.
- Hands-on use of AI tools for fraud investigations and data analysis.
- Experience coaching or training junior investigators.
